I can't believe it!  Isn't life grand?! This is just what I needed to be able to get to the next level. Training is much easier when I can focus,  just as focusing is easier when I am training without worries. Riding is my passion and works as a vehicle for me to travel, compete, connect with others, be close to nature, teach, and share my skills with many. I think what you are doing for scholars and athletes at Ezcir.com is wonderful. Thank you for freeing me of worries, recognizing me, and blessing me with this funding.  It is a perfect relief and boost during rough times to see me through to success.  This is a dream come true.

I found this scholarship program through fastweb.com.  I applied for a few but really given the amount of people that apply for these scholarships, I wasn't to sure I was going to receive an award.  I was ecstatic to get the call saying that I had won the scholarship!  Paying for school is so hard and this is a godsend.  I can't thank you enough!!! It will certainly be put to good use.  I am becoming a Montessori teacher as well as a Psychologist and with my masters program coming up every penny is put to good use!  Thank you again!

I am Pema Dorjee and I am seventeen years old. I am a Bhutanese citizen. I have completed my high school senior with Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as my main stream subjects in which I have passed with 63.5% marks in aggregate. Like every High school graduate teenager, I have always wanted to pursue
my further studies and full my dreams. Here in our country The Royal University of Bhutan offers limited numbers of scholarships to the students, I could not qualify for this government scholarship because they have certain cut off points. Due to this less number of scholarships and more number of students applying for it, it has become very tough and competitive to get through. And even if we get through this competition and fulfill the desired criteria it offers less or very few choices of areas to study. As I am from a poor family background and due to some financial problems my parents could not afford to send me for a private scholarship to continue my studies. In my home country, Bhutan, not many people among my peers and colleagues believe that a young motivated and highly educated person can be successful and find a fulfilling professional career, but I do and in order to achieve such success and realize my ambition I know I need
to get the best possible education. That is why I choose to continue my further studies or education in a good university. It is not only acknowledged but also highly appreciated by every one. As a child I was always fascinated by the world of computers and what it can contribute to this developmental stages, buildings and the growing technologies and wondered how people invented and built them. Now that I am old enough and understand what it was all about, my interest in these things grew even stronger. And I have always dreamt of contributing something towards mankind and help them live a better life in this fast advancing technological world. Plus Bhutan is known for its pristine environment and the rest part of the world really has
high regards to it. Moreover one of our country’s main revenue generations is mostly from this pristine Environment. Currently we have absolutely clean air to breathe, clean water to drink and everything pure and organic leading to healthy life of the people thereby achieving the goal of “Gross National Happiness”. But on the contrary, there is also a high risk if we do not work hard to preserve what we have today. Again to achieve this, the knowledge and education has become the utmost necessity. Therefore I am seriously looking for a gracious help and I can assure that the money spent on me will be best used to educate myself to be a productive citizen. So I have three options of the areas of studies:

1. BSc Computer Graphics and Multimedia
2. BSc Civil Engineering
3. BSc Environmental Engineering
Therefore I will ever remain indebted to all the generous people who will support my study either in the region or
abroad and make me a productive citizen. I will always feel that I am part of you all. Thanking you.

I first found out about Ezcir through Fastweb. My Mom found out about Fastweb when she was trying to help me find scholarships after being denied the Pell Grant. While I was looking at the different scholarships I was eligible for I saw the one that Ezcir had to offer and it sounded really interesting so I went for it. It is the first of many I hope.

I moved where I am now in beatiful, quiet Ozark, Arkansas from the art saturated neighborhoods of Portland, Oregon in October 2007. I had recently lost my job and decided I really wanted to get my education. I also decided that as much as I loved Portland, I had lived in Oregon my whole life and I knew I would not be able to focus there. So my mom cashed in her savings and flew out to Portland, rented a Uhaul and we loaded up my entire life-including 2 cats, a turtle, a couple of fish, and over 60 house and outdoor plants- and left for Arkansas. The drive was amazing! I recommend that every person should take a cross country driving trip at least once in their life. We drove through Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and finally Arkansas. There were so many really neat things about each state. I was pleasantly surprised by Arkansas and how lush and green it is. They don't have mountains like I am used to but rolling hills that made me realize where the 'purple mountains majesty' came from. I am much more at peace here. I can actually see the stars at night and deer wander through my back yard. It is great. Just the right setting I need for school, see I am 28 and just now starting so I was leaving nothing to chance.

I will be attending Arkansas Tech University and I intend to get my Masters degree for Hortaculture/Botany and Biology. My greatest desire is to work for the Forest Service helping to save and preserve our countries wildlife habitats locally and also start my own nursery raising grape plants for the vinyards that are here (wine in Arkansas?! I know i was shocked too but they do it very well). I also want to grow and sell orchids as a side project and donate some of the profits to rainforest conservation projects.

Thank you so so so so much for the scholarship. I have been super excited since you told me! Thank you for thinking so much of me. I can't tell you how awesome this is for me.

I know this scholarship will be put to great use for my college tuition. When I received the call that I had won the scholarship I thought it was a joke, I never win anything. It was hard for me to believe it. My financial aid is almost running out, and I am grateful that I was picked from several students to win. I found the ezcir.com scholarship through another online source. Fastweb.com was the Internet site that introduced the scholarship too me. The background information that I submitted to my profile at fastweb.com, revealed that I qualified for the scholarship. The financial responsibility that comes along with college appears very disheartening. Next year I will be attending school and playing soccer at Purdue University, and I knew that any type of scholarship would be beneficial. This scholarship helps take some of the financial burden away from attending college, and I am very thankful to have received it.

 I would like to thank Cliff and everybody else behind EZCIR for accepting me for the College Student Scholarship.  I found EZCIR's scholarship from fastweb.com and I applied to a great few hoping to get a scholarship because I was stressing horribly from financial problems with my tuition for school.  It's hard and stressful when you have no where to turn to when you think everything is going to fall apart. School is very expensive these days and it's hard when you really wanna go & start your future when you don't have money to support yourself and pay for tuition, books, and boarding all together. Going to the Art Institute to exceed my ambitions and receiving the College Student Scholarship makes my dreams and goals more of a reality.  I would like to say thank-you again for understanding the problems i've gone through and seeing how dedicated of a person I am. Thanks again, Mr. DeQuilettes! When I first began the hunt for scholarships through fastweb.com three years ago, I wasn’t very optimistic about winning; there are so many gifted people competing for the same rewards. It may even seem to some that filling out dozens of applications is just a waste of time, and that you’ll end up having to pay up anyway. However, now approaching the end of my second year in college I can confidently say that winning is possible! I had won two $1000 scholarships that gave me a jumpstart in my freshman year and waned after last summer, but thanks to EZCIR I can keep going without getting hung up on financial worries. It’s been said that you have to motivate yourself to succeed in college, and knowing that I’m attending through the generosity of others makes it even more important.
